Asprey is comparing overseas medical tourism prices from several years ago against current domestic prices for the procedures he buys. Knoepfler is reporting what a self-selected sample of his readers say they paid, which skews toward people who sought out a critical blog.
Both agree the US market grew rapidly and is now large and domestic rather than offshore, and neither disputes that clinics are now easy to find.
An actual price survey. Neither side has one, and the fact that the only longitudinal price series for a market this size is an unweighted blog poll is the finding underneath the disagreement.
